What is PowerUp Louisiana?

Mission & Vision

About PowerUp Louisiana

PowerUp Louisiana is a platform where government officials, state legislators, experts and stakeholders, nonprofit organizations, and coalitions come together to advance discussions on clean energy opportunities for Louisiana through policy and decision making. Policy dictates the market, and what type of energy is most profitable. State representatives are on the frontlines for building an equitable clean energy future across Louisiana through smart policy. And we're here to help!

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a livable, thriving, and prosperous state through clean renewable energy - offshore wind and solar in particular. Renewable energy stands out as one of the most affordable technologies in the energy market, and presents an immediate opportunity for revenue generation, job creation, and economic growth.

U.S. Offshore Wind Workforce Assessment

Produced By: National Renewable Energy Laboratory

This report provides estimates of the current and future workforce needs of the industry (demand), identifies relevant occupations and requirements, highlights emerging educational institutions, training programs, and initiatives that can contribute to meeting workforce needs, and identifies workforce gaps (supply). It then recommends actions to bridge workforce gaps and support key stakeholders such as industry, state and local governments, educational organizations, and unions in their efforts to attract, educate, train, and retain a domestic workforce to support this burgeoning industry.

A Supply Chain Road Map for Offshore Wind Energy in the United States

Produced By: National Renewable Energy Laboratory
