Recognizing the need for financial tools that help build resilience in Louisiana by expanding access to renewable energy to those who need it most, CPEX sought to create a green bank to serve Louisiana communities. Created in partnership between CPEX and the Baton Rouge Area Foundation (BRAF) in 2023, the Louisiana Clean Energy Fund is a nonprofit clean energy fund, otherwise known as a green bank, positioned to incentivize and facilitate investment in clean energy and energy-efficiency projects for Louisiana’s residents and businesses.

Going forward, CPEX will support LCEF in its efforts to build funds, attract investment, develop programs, and conduct stakeholder outreach and engagement.
