Ruthie Losavio

Ruthie is a communications manager with extensive experience in public health, strategic storytelling, and multi‑platform communications. Before joining CPEX, she spent over seven years supporting statewide initiatives through the LSU AgCenter, helping programs strengthen their reach, build trust, and elevate local voices throughout Louisiana. Her work blends community engagement, data translation, and storytelling to make complex information accessible and to foster stronger connections between institutions and the communities they serve.

A Baton Rouge native, Ruthie holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and a master’s degree in nutrition and food sciences from Louisiana State University. She is passionate about leveraging communications to deepen our sense of community and support meaningful, place‑based change. In her free time, Ruthie enjoys trying new recipes, treasure hunting at local secondhand shops, and replacing neglected plants in her garden.
