Ginny Engholm

As the Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing, Ginny leads the organization’s communications strategy, brand development, and marketing initiatives in support of CPEX’s mission to bring people and planning together to make great places. She works closely with leadership and program teams to translate complex planning, policy, and community engagement work into clear, compelling narratives that connect with communities and partners across Louisiana.

Ginny brings extensive experience in nonprofit marketing and storytelling. She is the founder of For Good Content, a nonprofit marketing and communications agency that helped mission-driven organizations clarify their brand, strengthen their messaging, and tell authentic stories of their good work. Prior to launching For Good Content, Ginny served as Director of Editorial Operations at a B2B marketing firm, developing brand strategies and content for global corporations, government entities, and national nonprofits.

Before moving into marketing, Ginny spent more than a decade in higher education as a professor. She earned a Ph.D. in English from the University of Kentucky, with a concentration in health narratives, storytelling, and narrative analysis—an interest that continues to inform her work in nonprofit communications.

Ginny grew up in rural Mississippi and Alabama but has called Baton Rouge home for nearly twenty years. A lifelong lover of stories, she is an avid reader, film enthusiast, devoted consumer of television, and lover of all things storytelling.
