Jeana Gomez

Jeana Gomez

Jeana works at the intersection of climate resilience, cultural identity, and community wellbeing, guided by a belief that how we live and adapt shapes the future of place. For more than 15 years, she has collaborated with FEMA, local governments, nonprofits, and community coalitions across the U.S.—from coastal Louisiana to Miami to the Pacific Northwest—turning complex science and policy into solutions that matter locally.

Her projects have included helping frontline communities weave cultural heritage into climate adaptation, designing national youth resilience programs, and pioneering tsunami evacuation strategies. At the heart of her work is a commitment to equity, storytelling, and coalition-building—creating strategies that honor lived experience while preparing communities for what’s ahead. Trained in Strategic Foresight, she brings a future-focused lens to every project. Jeana lives in New Orleans with her husband, two preschoolers, and has a love for film, specialty coffee, and birth work.
